Smart Link QR Codes & NFC

What This Helps You Do

Every Smart Link can be shared as a QR code. The QR code contains the Smart Link URL, so scans follow the same availability, routing, attribution, and analytics rules as visits to that URL.

Open a Smart Link and select Link & QR to begin.

Choose What the QR Code Opens

Use QR Code For to choose one of three contexts:

Base Smart Link — Uses the link’s normal destination rotation with no extra preset.
Saved Configuration — Uses an existing reusable configuration. Its preferred location, employee, sender, and campaign values apply only where the selected destination supports them.
Custom Context — Adds one-time location, employee, or sender attribution before you download the code.

Custom context options may include people used by another destination in the same Smart Link rotation. At scan time, the selected destination independently validates each value. A website redirect or simple page can still use the QR code, but it does not use Review Flow or Custom Form attribution settings.

Public parameter names, URL structure, QR rendering, styling, download behavior, and existing printed URLs do not change when destination capabilities or option wording change.

Save a Custom Context for Reuse

If the same context will appear on several signs or campaigns, select Save for reuse. Give it a recognizable name and URL suffix. FSRevs checks for an existing configuration with the same context so you can reuse it or create a separate version deliberately.

Choose a Design

QR design choices apply to the current download. They do not change the Smart Link or the saved configuration behind it.

Module Style

Choose how the small QR modules appear:

Classic — Square modules with the most familiar appearance.
Rounded — Softens the module corners.
Dots — Uses circular modules for a more decorative result.

Color and Background

You can set the QR color, background color, and finder-eye accent. Use Use brand colors to begin with your workspace colors, or Reset to return to the defaults.

A transparent background is useful when the code will sit on a known light surface. The contrast check assumes a light surface for transparent designs, so verify the final placement yourself.

Add a Logo

Use your brand logo or upload a one-off PNG, JPEG, or WebP image. One-off logos must be between 64 and 2,048 pixels in each dimension and no larger than 2 MB.

Choose a small or medium logo. Adding a logo automatically uses Maximum damage tolerance to preserve scan reliability around the covered center area.

Set Download Quality

For PNG downloads, choose a resolution that matches the intended use:

Compact — Small digital placements.
Standard — General-purpose digital and print use.
Large Print — Larger signs and print materials.

You can download either PNG or SVG. PNG is convenient for most design tools; SVG remains sharp at any print size.

Damage Tolerance

Damage tolerance controls how much of the code can be obscured or damaged while remaining readable:

Setting	Error correction
Low	About 7%
Medium	About 15%
High	About 25%
Maximum	About 30%

Higher tolerance creates a denser code. Use High or Maximum for print that may be scratched, folded, or placed in a busy environment.

Check Contrast Before Downloading

FSRevs performs a live contrast check. PNG and SVG downloads remain unavailable until the foreground and background are different enough for reliable scanning.

Use the Link with NFC

FSRevs does not write NFC tags directly. Copy the Smart Link URL shown on Link & QR, then use the instructions or app supplied with your NFC tag to write that URL to the tag.

Use the Base URL for normal rotation or a saved configuration URL when the NFC placement needs preferred attribution. Test the programmed tag before mounting it permanently.
