Flow & Form Recipes
What Recipes Are
Section titled “What Recipes Are”Recipes combine several FSRevs features around a real customer goal. Use them as a starting point, then adjust the wording, locations, destinations, consent practices, and follow-up to fit your business.
Start with a Permission-First Review Request
Section titled “Start with a Permission-First Review Request”Asking for a Review gives your frontline team a short spoken prompt, then walks through selecting the customer, checking request history, and sending the right Review Flow.
This is a good first recipe when you already have:
- An enabled Review Flow
- The correct Google or other review links in My Links
- A team member with Send requests
- Permission to contact the customer by the chosen channel
Other Useful Patterns
Section titled “Other Useful Patterns”Collect a Review, Then Offer a Survey
Section titled “Collect a Review, Then Offer a Survey”Use this when customers have a useful second task after the review experience.
- Create a short Custom Form and a thank-you Simple Page.
- In the Form’s After Submission, select the thank-you Page.
- Create a Smart Link that opens the Form.
- In the Review Flow’s Completion, select that Smart Link.
- If customers should also reach Completion after an external review click, enable Keep Your Completion Step Available in Reviews & Feedback.
- Test the customer route and inspect its observed Journey.
The Completion selector reaches a Form through its Smart Link. See Customer Journeys and Followup Destinations for context and availability rules.
Track the Employee Connected to an Experience
Section titled “Track the Employee Connected to an Experience”Enable team-member attribution in the Review Flow, assign Employee tracking only to the people who should appear, and make the employee choice as accurate and low-friction as possible. Start with Review Flow Settings and Roles & Permissions.
Use a customer list or photo cards when the customer should choose. Use Sender selects; customer cannot change when staff or an eligible Smart Link configuration should provide the attribution. Test each Location and check the resulting Employee separately from the Sender in Activity. Collect attribution inside FSRevs rather than asking customers to include an employee’s name in a Google review.
Offer Several Review Destinations
Section titled “Offer Several Review Destinations”Add the appropriate review destinations in My Links, include them in the Review Flow, and test every route. Use Pinned destinations only for a fixed list, or a Pinned first option to prioritize selected destinations while including other eligible links. Keep choices independent of the customer’s rating.
Do not include Yelp as a solicited review destination; Yelp does not permit businesses to ask for reviews. Start with Managing Your Links and Creating a Review Flow.
Collect Written Feedback for Manager Follow-Up
Section titled “Collect Written Feedback for Manager Follow-Up”Configure the Review Flow to collect written feedback, set eligible manager notifications, then use Manager Feedback Report to work the Needs Response queue. Start with Review Flow Settings, Notifications, and Manager Feedback Report.
For a direct-feedback-only experience, enable Offer Written Feedback and turn off Offer External Review & Social Links. Set the rating timing you need, submit a test response, and confirm the intended manager can see it and receives the configured alert. Feedback starts Private; recording a reply does not automatically send an email to the customer.
Build Safely
Section titled “Build Safely”For any recipe:
- Decide the customer outcome before choosing fields and destinations.
- Use the shortest experience that gathers the information you will actually use.
- Confirm contact consent and choose an appropriate delivery channel.
- Test every meaningful branch with your team.
- Review the underlying activity and report data before changing the workflow.
